My passion lies in creating one of a kind jewelry designs
that are sculptural colorful, bold, and expressive. Guided by my inner voice, I draw inspiration from the contemporary art world, vintage fashion eras, and the
natural world around me: the rusted tin roof and deteriorating jade green paint of an abandoned farm house, the subtly elegant ivory tones of a sun-bleached cow skull, the unique silhouette of an Owl feather, the intricate detail of a tiger moth or iridescent sheen of a beetle’s wing, the velvety textured olive green moss blanketing the forest floor, or the swirling blue ocean tides that wash abundant gifts of coral-toned seashells upon the sand.
In my jewelry designs, I combine fine silver, precious metal clay (PMC), Brass, Copper, Gold, beautiful vintage elements , decorative antique findings and my own handmade polymer clay beads and pendants. I also incorporate modern Swarovski elements and gemstones.My recent works involve a mixed-media approach to jewelry design, utilizing numerous silver-smithing techniques, precious metal clay, metal etchings, leather, reclaimed found objects with polymer & epoxy clay.
